THE LOCAL CHURCH AND GLOBAL MISSIONS-PART SEVEN. “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  (Matthew 28:18-20). (more…)

SHINING THE LIGHT IN THE DARK PLACES THROUGH MISSION-PART 4. “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12-13).
The world is in dire need for transformation as never before, as the ‘signs of the last days’ are multiplying on daily basis. GOD’S PURPOSE FOR HIS CHURCH-PART 20. What best could explain the experience I had sometime in 1982 when I joined a company of young men to swim in a popular river called River Ohe, located in the confluence region of Nigeria. Few minutes after I entered the river I unknowingly dived into the heart of the river. For some minutes I was between life and death as I was completely submerged by the water every struggle to make my head or hands seen outside was futile. Nobody knew that I was drowning; not even my swimming counterparts. I thought that day (more…)

GOD’S PURPOSE FOR HIS CHURCH-PART 17. God has made available every resource needed for all men to excel and fulfil His purpose on earth, but not many people enjoy these riches. While some are yet to discover these great and inexhaustible riches, some have not believed that they are there or real. Christians are then the most privileged people on earth because they live in total dependence on those riches. The extent to which the church will fulfil God’s purpose on earth depends on how much we maximise the use of these resources that God has made available for His people. We shall be sharing on one of those important riches of God called ‘grace’. (more…)

THE HEART OF COMPASSION-PART 9. Have you ever thought of how it will look like if every person, people and tribe on the face of the earth heard and received the gospel and became true disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ? I think that would be the Kingdom of God on earth! That was the original plan of God when He created the first man, Adam, and put him in the ‘paradise’ of the Garden of Eden. Unfortunately, this plan was truncated when Adam fell from grace to grass by eating of the fruit of knowledge of good and bad that God had forbidden him from eating. The whole earth and humanity entered into chaos, and since then God, because of His eternal purpose, has been seeking to reconcile man to Himself through different ways at different times. He gave the law through His prophet, Moses, in the Old Testament and grace through His Son Jesus Christ in the New Testament, all for the purpose of reconciliation and (more…)

THE HEART OF COMPASSION-PART 1.Ange was a young university graduate who had just gotten a job in a big company with a very good salary. He then decided to go on a short missionary trip among the Anugbe people of Africa before starting the job. The short time that Ange spent among the Anugbe people turned his life around, he noticed that this people of about a million do not have a single church among them, and beside they were deprived of basic amenities like schools, hospitals, good roads etc. He was touched by this pathetic situation of the people and thus decided to abandon his newly found employment and other life ambition to go and live among the Anugbes in order to preach the love of Christ to them. Ange spent 20 years of his life among the Anugbes preaching the love of Christ verbally, through his life style, and acts of (more…)
